Until people actually say something when a man hits a woman in public, it won't change. We've all seen it, and 99% of the time, no one says anything. Both need to be stopped. A woman hitting a man is just as wrong as a man hitting a woman.

What are your thoughts on this Korean dating app? I've been talking to my friend in Korea about her love life, and she told me about this app that she uses. I've found it quite interesting and wanted to know what non-Asian/Korean people would think of it. Heart Signal 1 & 2. Most hype dating show in korea, it start / restarts interest in dating show in Korea. One of the best show to debate on the outcomes every episode.

Hi guys,

Korean Dating Customs

I’m a girl and have been able to make a couple of good girl friends here in Korea. Relationships are a common topic, and all my friends have a boyfriend. None of my friends know each other - I met them all individually so it’s not like I’ve integrated into some big friend group. I don’t like generalizing, but I’ve noticed that all of them (minus one that’s engaged) seem to not really like their SO. I can’t tell if this is a cultural thing or just a reflection of who I hang out with? I’m really sorry if this question sounds offensive.

By “not like” I mean that they generally don’t have anything positive to say about their SO. Everyone vents sometimes but they’re not complaining about communication issues or being mistreated or anything like that. Usually it’s about how their boyfriend looks or dresses or his job (or lack of a job). I’m kind of at a loss when they complain about their looks (especially specific features) because I have no idea how a normal Korean girl would respond and none of my friends in the US would ever date a guy they consider ugly/generally unattractive. And I’m more confused when they breakup and seem genuinely devastated but start dating someone else less than a month or two later. I’ve been wanting to ask one of them about this but I’m scared I might offend them.

They’re all genuinely kind and awesome friends but I never know how to react when they’re making these comments.

Obviously this happens in other countries but I’ve never been in a situation before where almost all my friends are in relationships like this. Is this typical? Or is it just my friends?

(I want to add that my friends have told me about guys they really loved but broke up with/couldn’t date because of timing issues. So I don’t want to suggest that all their relationships are shallow or anything like that. To me it feels like they’re /generally/ dating just to have a boyfriend and not because they have an kind of strong feelings, and I can’t tell if this is cultural or not.)
